I am pretty sure drilling a 2 and a half inch hole in the top of a brand new fridge will violate my warranty.

However, without the hole, there can be no taps, and without the taps there will be no beer. In case you not know…

No beer == Bad

So we man up and drill using the instructions here (which are fantastic) Everything went according to plan and the magic blue smoke was not released. The patient is expected to make a full recovery.

Extra bonus… The keg from back in June is half full, still good and still carbonated. Just needs to be chilled.
